It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Although normally I am someone who doesn’t really want to hear anything about Christmas until after Thanksgiving, this year I’ve been waiting anxiously for months December to roll around.  I always fully enjoy the Christmas season once it has arrived, but this year I just couldn’t wait to see the look on Josiah’s face when we lit the tree, and to fill the tree with presents for both my boys and extended family.  And I was right.  The look on his face was priceless!  He loves decorating, and re-decorating the tree over and over.  Even Matthew sees the lights and decorations and smiles.
Wow, I love Christmas!  What other time of year does the whole country come together to celebrate Jesus?  Many may not even know or pay attention to what they are celebrating, but we do.  What an honor to live in a country where the day we set aside to celebrate the birth of our Savior is a national holiday!  Praise God!  Let’s enjoy it to the fullest.  Don’t let your non-Christian neighbors out celebrate you this Christmas.  This is OUR holiday!
Celebrate, Decorate, Give Gifts, Bake Cookies, Build A Fire, Sing Carols, Watch It’s A Beautiful Life, Show Kindness To A Stranger, Read The Christmas Story Aloud, Say MERRY CHRISTMAS!
And in everything you do to celebrate this Christmas remember what it is you are celebrating.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
