As a mom each day is a different adventure. Some days are all fun and smiles and laughter. Other days like today are more difficult and full of discipline. Children can be unpredictable. They have days when they are obedient and good natured, and days when they test their limits. It’s easy to be a parent on happy well behaved days. The challenge comes on days like today. The moods and attitudes of our children can change from one minute to the next, but as we strive to be like Christ we should have the same attitude of love toward them. Jesus is unchanging and constant. We should be the same even in disciplining our children. We discipline in love, not in anger. As women being consistent in how we raise our children can be especially difficult. With changes in hormones and moods, it takes a conscious effort to remain calm and loving when our children misbehave. There is my challenge for today. Be like Christ, consistent, and discipline in love.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
