Dirt

Photobucket

My boys love to play in the dirt.  There’s so much you can do with it!  Today Mediano buried his car.  They often make roads, dinosaur footprints, mountains, dig for dinosaur bones and even shower themselves and each other in that dirt.  I’m sure if we let them add water they could come up with an incredible amount of things they could make with that dirt.
But regardless of how creative they are they won’t come anywhere near the incredible thing that God created from the dirt.
Us.
Have you ever looked at the dirt and imagined how God looked at it and saw the potential to create life?  That’s what it is to be a Creator.  To look at the raw material and see it’s potential.  I’m so grateful that He saw the potential in that dirt to create man, and that He continues to see the potential in me to create a woman in His image.
God formed Man out of dirt from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life. The Man came alive-a living soul!
Genesis 2:7

  1. What an amazing post on dirt. I dont think I will ever look at dirt the same. I sometimes forget that God created us out fo the clay of the earth. Not being an artist I sometimes forget all the wonders that are created. But then I read is awesome word and think WOW! He spoke and breathed life into the clay fo the earth and man was formed and so much more. To stop and mediate on the things of the Lord and all that was created because of His love for us.
    Blessings

  3. Thanks goodness God didn't look at the dirt and think it was just see dirt.

  4. I wonder if this is why our little people have such an attraction to the dust of the earth? Perhaps something inside of them calls to the earth. I wonder. Thank you for this! It does make me smile. And think!
